A man, identified by police as Figueroa Fagot, was caught on CCTV cameras in South Philadelphia attempting to abduct a 10-year-old girl.  He grabbed the girl while she was walking with her 2-year-old brother but she fought him off as her brother screamed. He man eventually let her go and escaped.

At a press conference, Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter said that alleged crimes, like the one caught on tape were “completely unacceptable”.

“Our children must be able to walk around their own neighborhood without lowlifes like this individual coming up and grabbing them, touching them, or doing anything else,” Mayor Nutter said. “It’s completely unacceptable, totally outrageous, we need the public’s help.”
