Some things that make you go ‘Woah’.

US authorities suspect that arsonist Michael Marin committed suicide by ingesting poison after he collapsed in court on June 28, moments after a jury found him guilty of burning down his Biltmore Estates mansion in 2009.

Michael Marin was facing seven to twenty-one years in prison after a jury convicted him of setting his $3.5 million mansion on fire when he could no longer afford his mortgage.

Moments after the verdict was read, Marin appeared to swallow two pills in quick succession. Seven minutes later, he went into convulsions and fell to the floor. Paramedics were unable to revive him.

From watching the video of Marin’s collapse, experts speculated soon after the incident that cyanide was involved. It takes only about 200 milligrams of cyanide to make a fatal dose.
