Onos Mar 22 2015Onos Ariyo’s new offering is titled Have Your Way.

Before 2014, the Delta state-born music minister was probably known within church circles. But last year, she began to blossom greatly and grew into her calling.

It was an amazing 12 months for Onos. From releasing her widely acclaimed sophomore album No Limits to performing at the annual The Experience concert, the mother of one announced clearly to everyone she was here to stay.

What changed? How has she catapulted onto another plane?

“The secret for me is the place of prayers,” she told me on Twitter, in a brief exchange in January 2015. “I’ve been praying and fasting for over three weeks now. I strongly believe God is just honoring (me).”

It is not another response borne out of the need to sound like Christian. In a time where minstrels have turned praise singers to politicians, Onos has devoted her time and energy to seeking God and His power. She is setting the standard for gospel musicians, pointing the way on how praise leaders should go about their assignment.

Have Your Way is one of her first songs from a series she tags ‘Songs From The Place of Prayers’.

With this one, Onos proves what we already know. That she is a relentless worshipper, anointed and ready to lead God’s people into His very Shekinah presence. Not one blessed with range that reaches to to Heavens, Onos knows just how to stretch and compress her vocals without losing focus of why she is here. Which is basically to be a rainmaker.
