We can't forget you: Flavour drops tribute track for MC Loph

High-life music rave of the moment, Flavour, has released a tribute track for the late rapper Obiajulu Nwaozor popularly known as MC Loph. The raunchy Igbo singer delivered a sultry tribute song for the rapper who ushered him into mainstream music with the Osita Osadebe sampled monster hit track ‘Osondi Owendi’, over ominous and tribal laid back rhythm. Although the track, ‘Iwe’, was rendered mostly in his native Igbo tongue,  Flavour invoked a sorrowful feeling of loss with his detectable troubled delivery.

On the morning of Wednesday, 14 September 2011, MC Loph had set out for Abia State from Lagos, with plans of getting married to his pregnant longtime girlfriend over that coming weekend. He will only arrive there for his funeral; the notorious Benin-Ore express way claimed his life as well as that of his only sibling, leaving behind his already widowed mother and his pregnant fiancée.
