We did not threaten to breakaway – PDP‎ group denies

Following reports of dissent in the ranks of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the perceived high-handed attitude of senior officials of the party, the PDP Ward2Ward Support Group has denied threatening to pull out of the party.
In a statement released today by the Kamal Shekulumaso Karka, the National Coordinator of the group, the grassroots association admitted having a running battle with the wife of the Vice President Hajiya Amina Namadi Sambo over the usage of a conference venue for their program but denied threatening to pull away from the party.
According to the statement: “It’s not true we are planning to breakaway. Yes we had some challenges with a venue we wanted to use for our event at International Conference Centre, Abuja, but we did not threaten to leave the party.”
The Group has also debunked reports that it is unhappy with the PDP Chairman of the party saying, “We also do not have any grievance with the PDP Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, the game changer who’s transforming our party. In fact our Chairman is the best our party has ever had. We appreciate his support and that our our great party in all our efforts to mobilize support for the PDP at the grassroot. We will be hosting a National Conference on the 4th of December which the party is actively involved.”
