When most people see a beach they think rest and relaxation, when Heidi Klum sees a beach she just cannot keep her clothes on.

The 40-year-old continued with her almost constant social media theme of showing off her naked form on Friday.

Heidi, who spent the last few months posting scantily-clad holiday shots on her Instagram, once again showed fans more than they bargained for in a naked flashback photograph.

In the stunning black and white image a slightly younger Hedi sits naked on the beach – yet again – laughing and soaking wet.

The image shows off the mother of four’s amazing toned body however, Heidi manages to protect herself from being fully exposed thanks to a well placed arm across her chest and the perfect angle by the photographer.

The America’s Got Talent judge captioned the photograph: ‘Photo blast from the past: Splitternackt!’

Not the first time: Recently Heidi has posted a lot of candid and near naked holiday snaps taken by her mother Erna on Instagram

Splitternackt is a German word meaning without a stitch on and the 40-year-old certainly doesn’t.

Unlike her recent candid and near naked holiday snaps which Heidi’s mother Erna took for her, this image was part of series taken by professional photographer Russell James.

Shot in Mexico, Heidi and the famed photographer risked death trying to the perfect image.

Russel told GQ, Heidi still made the most of it: ‘Every time I shoot with Heidi it cracks me up, no matter how serious the pictures are.

‘In this particular series we’re down in Costa Careyes in Mexico, Heidi running naked on the beach. But the waves that were breaking were so deadly dangerous that if you were caught in one, you’re gone forever.

‘She’s saying ”Rusty, the waves are gonna come” – I’d say, ”No, no – it’s great, lay down”. Then suddenly, ”Get up and run!” So it looks all passive and quiet, but we were running against waves that were really life-threatening and she was exhausted and beaten and it was a frenetic shoot.

‘But that really was a couple of mates having a good time, I have great memories of it. It was complete mayhem, but somehow these pictures came out.’

However, fans of the German model can probably expect to see some saucy new holiday snaps from Heidi as it appears she off on a holiday again.

On Sunday morning the star posted a picture from inside a private jet with her and boyfriend Martin Kristen joining their hands together to form a love heart.

Hedi captioned the shot simply: ‘Happy.’
