We will market GEJ using the Indomie Marketing Strategy – @DoyinOkupe

by Isi Esene

The Federal Government has concluded plans to publicize the achievements of the President Goodluck Jonathan administration over the past four years using the ‘Indomie Marketing Strategy’.

This plan was made public by Dr. Doyin Okupe, the Special Assistant to the President of Public Affairs during the launch of a 4-day interactive forum tagged, ‘The Jonathan Administration: Four Impactful Years’ at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja on Thursday.

The forum which is organized to outline the developmental strides of the Jonathan administration will see ten ministers making presentations on the developments so far achieved in their respective ministries.

Among the ministers billed to make presentations are Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Minister of Finance & Co-ordinating Minister of the Economy; Prof. Chinedu Nebo, Minister of Power; Osita Chidoka, Minister of Aviation; Dr. Akinwumi Adeshina, Minister of Agriculture and others.

In his opening address, Okupe who serves as the administration’s mouthpiece, said the government has achieved a lot but “much of it has not been publicized.”

He said the administration is set to deploy what he referred to as the Indomie Marketing Strategy in highlighting the administration’s scorecard as the country inches towards the general election next year.

Okupe said, “This administration has achieved so much but much of it has not been publicized. The media has also not helped us. Maybe we all share in the blame.”

The presidential aide continued saying, “We will market his [Pres. Jonathan] programs like Indomie – whoever you are, you cannot say you don’t know Indomie so we have decided to market President Jonathan’s programs like that.

“We have now started the Indomie Marketing Strategy, those who say they did not see will see and others who did not hear will hear,” Okupe said.

He implored Nigerians to disregard those who call President Jonathan clueless assuring them that the president is working assiduously to deliver on his mandate.

The Public Affairs Forum will be brought to a close on Tuesday, November 4.

  1. Ppl say transform transform transform. Why not mention them rather than say transform. Cos me I can’t see and I want to see not hear the word transform. That is for the dictionary.

  2. Goodluck Johnathan remains the best president Nigeria has ever produced. He has done a lot to transform our country, it is only a blind man, a fool at forty and enemies of the People Democratic Party that will say GEJ has done nothing. My candid advice to Nigerians is that GEJ is never a weak man and he is not slow, what you called action Presidents in the past was just a military blood remember this is DEMOCRACY. I think GEJ started a pure democratic president, i.e without military hot blood. Nigeria cannot be transform in a twinkle of an eye, transformation is a continuous and gradual process. VOTE GEJ for transformation come 2015

    1. Come and carry me na.
