The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has denied any friction between President Goodluck Jonathan and governors elected under the party’s platform.

It also maintained that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party is unflinching in its support for the Party Chairman, Bamanga Tukur.

The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh released a statement to this effect yesterday saying that the party is solidly in support of the president’s Transformation Agenda.

“There is no division in the leadership of our party. We are solidly behind our National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur and we are focused on ensuring good governance in the country.

“Some people are not just happy that we are working together, so they come out with all sorts of speculations to see that they cause disaffection in our party. But I want to assure you that we will not be distracted in our focus to ensure that we continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to our people,” Metuh said.

He assured that the party leadership is behind the president in his dogged effort to deliver on the promised Transformation Agenda which is aimed at ensuring the rapid development of the economy and improving the standard of living of Nigerians.

“The leadership of the party is solidly behind President Goodluck Jonathan in his transformation agenda. We have one focus and that is to ensure massive development of the country in line with the manifesto of our party”, Metuh reportedly said.
