While speaking to ‘The Telegraph, Liverpool FC skipper, Steven Gerrard categorically stated that former team mate and new Barcelona FC signing, Luis Suarez is too good to play for Arsenal Football club.

Gerrard who also captains the English national team, said that he advised Suarez against signing for Arsenal when he was approached by the north London club.

He said, “His dream from the first day he came was to play for Real Madrid or Barcelona. Last summer when he was out in the cold and training on his own that’s the conversation I had with him. I said: ‘Don’t go to Arsenal.”

“I would have been really sad and disappointed to see Luis go to Arsenal. With all due respect to them, I said to him that he was too good for Arsenal.”

Unperturbed by his world cup biting scandal, Barcelona recently signed Luis Suarez on 5-year deal worth £75m.
