What was she thinking?! Florida woman dangles baby over balcony in Instagram photo

Clark, who was reported to police by friends who saw the picture, was previously arrested twice for battery.

A 25-year-old mother dangled her baby over an apartment balcony by its arm while snapping a photo of the stunt for Instagram, according to police.

Defiant Florida mom Aisha Jean Clark allegedly told officers “I can do what I want with my baby. Nobody can stop me” after they were sent to her home Tuesday, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Police say friends who saw her photo, which was taken from two stories up, called them after she posted it to her now private Instagram account, RatMove13.

The mother and her 5-month-old boy were said to be wearing the same clothing in photo when officers showed up at her door. Clark allegedly laughed when police asked why she thought they were there, fetching her iPad to show them the photo.

“I was mad, and I was making a point,” she said when asked if she understood the danger she put her child in, according to officers.

Clark was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail on a charge of child neglect. The baby and his older sibling were placed in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.

“This single act would reasonably be expected to have resulted in serious physical injury or a substantial risk of death to the infant,” an officer wrote in the arrest report.

Records show Clark was previously arrested twice for battery.

Outside the jail Wednesday, Clark reportedly threatened a Bay News 9 reporter who approached her. “Boy, you’re lucky you’re on camera because I will snap on you,” she allegedly said.

A friend and neighbor of Clark’s told the station that the 25-year-old is a good mother who often watches over his own two children and simply made a mistake.

“She just made a mistake, man. She just made a big mistake. She didn’t know it was going to get her in trouble like this,” the man, who didn’t wish to be identified, said.

“She’s not a bad mother,” he said. “She (watches) my kids, so she’s not a bad mother.”
