The news that President Goodluck Jonathan’s daughter was getting married came as a shock to many Nigerians as few people were aware that the nation’s number one man had a child who was grown enough to get married.

The new bride is actually the adopted daughter of the president and she was taken in by the first family after her father, a chieftain of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa, died in a car crash.

Ever since then, Faith became a daughter to the Jonathans and she has been under their care. The bride to be had an after party after her traditional wedding and her husband’s people from Rivers came with all their carnival fanfare. See photos below:
