A young woman has lost her life in Plateau after her husband allegedly beat her to death for refusing to have sex with him.

The woman is said to have formed the habit of turning he husband away after he contracted the HIV virus.

The husband, Benjamin Toma, has been taken into police custody and has been charged with the murder of his 25-year-old wife, Victoria.

The suspect allegedly hung up his wife’s body after killing her in a bid to cover up the crime but he was found out.

The incident has been confirmed by the state Police Commissioner Chris Olakpe. He said:

“the reason for his action was as a result of his wife’s refusal to summit herself to sexual intercourse.”

Olakpe also said that the victim would be prosecuted after investigations had been concluded into the matter.
