A 40-year-old woman (name withheld) gave birth to conjoined twins in Abia state causing a scene at the hospital.

The woman was reported to have delivered at Mben Cottage Hospital, on Asaga road, Ebem Ohafia in Abia state.

Describing the delivery as strange, the doctor who carried out the birthing process, Benard Orji, told reporters that the mother of the twins underwent a two-hour caesarean operation.

Dr. Orji also said the woman did not register with the hospital and was not attending prenatal clinic which may have caused her twins to be conjoined.
