An Oredo Magitrate’s Court on Monday remanded a nursing mother in prison custody for dousing her husband with hot water mixed with pepper.
The woman who was identified as Obiaka Friday reportedly committed the said offence on November 8, 2014 at First Ihogbe St., Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) Road, Benin City, Edo State.
The court was told that Mrs. Obiaka’s husband is lying critically ill at Central Hospital in Benin with injuries.
The suspect, who was first arraigned on Monday, however, pleaded guilty to the one-count charge.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Williams Aziegbemhin, adjourned the case till Nov. 17, for the Police to present the facts of the case.
