As at last count, the total number of women, girls and children rescued by the Nigerian Army stood at 453.
However, on Friday, May 1, it was announced on the Twitter handle of the Defence Headquarters that an additional 234 women and children had been rescued from the Kawuri and Konduga end of Sambisa forest.
Consequently, in the past one week, a total of 687 women, children and girls have been saved from the clutches of Islamic terrorist sect, Boko Haram
