Hi all,

He was said to have died this from an undisclosed ailment at the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo, the state capital

Mr. Tsokwa whose age is unknown, took ill last Thursday and was rushed to the hospital where he died, his death was confirmed by the acting governor of Taraba state Garba Umar through the spokesperson Kefas Sule.

Still on politics, the onslaught on the Abubakar Baraje-led faction of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) assumed enormous proportions as a meeting being held by the governor members of the group was interrupted by police officers who proceeded to harass the governors.

The decision of the Kawu Baraje-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to keep pressing forward despite opposition is not without its challenges.

The faction has reported cases of harassment from left and right and the trend does not seem to be stopping as once again the leaders of the “New PDP” have claimed that yet another meeting of theirs was disrupted by the police.

The meeting which held in Abuja reportedly had in attendance the governors who belong to the breakaway faction who converged to discuss with the legislators who were also members of the group.

It was an interesting week in the world of entertainment as a ‘twitfight’ broke out between two unlikely parties. Don Jazzy and Wande Coal decided to air their differences via Twitter with the music producer accusing Wande of song theft.

The artiste/record label conflict in Nigeria is far from over as Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy and Wande Coal are currently at loggerheads over a recently released track titled “BabyFace”

The trouble started a few minutes ago when Don Jazzy spoke about his work being stolen and Wande Coal decided to reply.

The Mavin family gave us even more news fodder with first lady Tiwa Savage responding to insinuations that she was pregnant by saying that she wasn’t actually expecting a baby but had eaten a lot of ‘puff-puff’.

Tiwa Savage has put curious minds to rest after the news spread on social media that she might be pregnant.

She responded to an inquiry from ENCOMIUM Weekly about her recent picture where her stomach was bulging and her hand was repeatedly placed on her stomach.

The ‘Eminado’ singer claimed she  had eaten a lot of ‘puff puff’ which made her stomach bigger that it normally was.

Davido also made the news after a showdown between him and Waconzy , due to the latter’s statement concerning “Skelewu”, Davido’s hit track which he called “empty”. Luckily Davido’s fans came to his rescue and gave Waconzy a lot to think about with their tweets.

Musician Waconzy caused ripples in the entertainment scene after his Rubbin’ Minds interview yesterday during which he accused some artistes of producing music that doesn’t make sense.

His most notable criticism was aimed at fellow musician Davido’s hit track Skelewu. According to Waconzy, the song is empty and can’t even be described as music.

A bus driver in Lagos didn’t take too kindly to being ordered around by a policeman and he responded by biting the finger of the law enforcement officer. Looks like some people don’t like to be touched by the hand of the law.

A Lagos bus driver has been arraigned before a Magistrate  Court in the state over allegations of assault on a policeman.

Muniru Oladejo, 31, yesterday appeared before the court sitting in the Surulere area of the state as it was revealed that he allegedly bit a policeman on one of his fingers.

Also in Lagos, a gang of robbers was caught by police and among their number was a 3-months pregnant woman.

The suspects.

Eight persons suspected to be armed robbers have been arrested and were yesterday paraded by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command.

The robbers, one of whom is a married and pregnant mother of two identified as Taiwo Obafunsho, are suspected of conducting robbery operations during one of which they allegedly killed two police officers.

It was a bad week for criminals as a notorious cow thief who had been blinded in one eye by angry villagers was blinded in the second after he was caught trying to steal a cow.

A man has been left blind after an angry mob of villagers caught him stealing a cow and injected acid into his eyeball as punishment.

The known animal thief is now completely without sight after a his other eye was injured in an identical incident five years ago.

Also, a gang of thieves who stole three full bags from a bank were discovered to have made away with payment vouchers and not cash as they expected. Errr, looks like some people are going to have a bad weekend.
A gang of robbers who invaded a bank in Akure, the Ondo State capital, on Wednesday are about to be very disappointed when they realize that the bags they took from the bank were actually filled with vouchers not cash.

It was discovered yesterday that the ‘Ghana-must-go’ bags stolen from a commercial bank within the town by the robbers were filled with processed vouchers and not money as feared.
