  1. Abdullahi Ganduje vs Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso

Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Mohammed Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso used to be best of buddies. When Kwankwaso was governor of Kano state, Ganduje was his loyal deputy. He was so loyal, he succeeded Kwankwaso as governor. But things deteriorated fast between the men and Ganduje accused Kwankwaso of insulting him and his parents for not continuing some of his policies. The state has been cleaved along both actors politically and at the centre of this division has been the Kwankwasiyya movement, a political structure founded by Kwankwaso.

  1. Nasir El-Rufai vs Shehu Sani

Both Governor Nasir El Rufai and Senator Shehu Sani belong to the All Progressives Congress, but apart from confessing support for President Buhari, they differ on every subject under the sun, from ideology to style of governance. El Rufai hasn’t been a shining light in the way he’s handled the clashes with Shiite Muslims in Kaduna state and in his relations and communication channels with the masses, and instead of condoning his excesses, Shehu Sani has let him have it every step of the way. His latest salvo at the governor has gotten him suspended from the party but Sani has promised to fight on.

  1. Peter vs Paul vs Jude Okoye

It seems that for the last couple of years, Psquare has been in beef mode. All the rumours of trouble in Squareville came to a head this year when the brothers announced that they were done with the partnership as we’ve come to know it. Peter gave an interview to the netng.com where he aired out the dirty laundry, basically accusing manager Jude Okoye of putting a wedge between the partnership with his unprofessionalism and greed. The twins both tried solo stuff but came back when it was clear together was the only way the fans wanted them. Jude stayed on too.

  1. Aisha Buhari vs Ayodele Fayose

Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti state has been after President Buhari for a long time. But while he always meets an unyielding barrier in the president’s affect towards him, he changed strategy and turned to Aisha Buhari instead, accusing her of money laundering practices as specified in the Halliburton scandal papers. The first lady who is usually a model in poise, fired of on Twitter, declaring her battle ready skills while calling Fayose a ‘’mad dog that isn’t chained.’’

  1.  Linda Ikeji vs Wizkid

Blogger Linda Ikeji did what she does better than any soul in the country. She blogged. About the messy state of affairs of Wizkid’s finances. The singer reacted violently, starting with subliminals on Twitter, then working up to a full blown meltdown where he turned on the misogyny full volume. Ikeji spun it as an attack on feminism and went straight to the Police. It took the intervention of the Commissioner of Police to placate the power duo.
