A police officer in Lagos has been accused of assaulting a heavily pregnant woman who was a passenger on a commercial bus in the bar beach area of the state.
The officer, identified as Aurthur Okeke (ID. No.453255) is said to have dragged the woman, reportedly in her 3rd trimester of pregnancy, out of the bus after which he allegedly beat her up and even tore her clothes.
The incident was reported via Twitter by a user identified simply as Busayomi who said she is the victim’s sister-in-law.
A fellow passenger recorded the altercation which occurred before the assault allegedly began.
