4 ways to avoid being stranded financially this summer

“Throwback to that horrible day when our debit cards caused us indescribable embarrassment at points of payment, and on foreign soil” is the caption that should NOT go up on your social media this summer, or ever.

To enjoy your summer holiday, here are four things you need to do to avoid getting financially stranded.

  1. Draw yourself a budget: Planning will never go out of style, so grab a book and write out your holiday plans with cost estimates.
  2. Make early bookings: Don’t let late bookings drain you unfairly. Confirm your travel dates, plan your itinerary and make your bookings in good time.
  3. Shop ahead: While you do not have to make any purchases before traveling (as that would be totally ridiculous), you can get acquainted with the best stores by doing some online window shopping. That way, you know where to shop and what to expect.
  4. Get an FCMB Debit Card: You always have a reliable friend in us! If you are not already on the bright side of banking, you should very quickly open an account right now and pop into any FCMB branch to get your debit card. You will be able to make payments from ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD and spend up to $5,000 using your naira card.
