A housemaid, identified as Vivian, has been sentenced to two months imprisonment by the Igbosere Magistrate’s Court.
Vivian’s crime was the theft of her employer’s sets of underwear and other valuables.
The employer, Bisi Awoniyi, nabbed the 20-year-old as she was about to leave the house to observe her off day.
Awoniyi searched her bag while the maid attempted to leave the house, only to discover valuables as well as several pieces of her underwear and night wears.
She reported the theft to the Dolphin Police Station, Ikoyi, after which Vivian was arrested.
Vivian was arraigned on one count of stealing, to which she pleaded guilty, and the magistrate, A.G, Omoyele, sentenced her to two months behind bars.
