Fatimah Binta Gimsay is a Nigerian screenwriter, director, story editor, producer, scriptwriter, and founder of “Hello July Films,” a media production company.
Fatimah began her career in the Nollywood industry as a writer, and in 2016, she was one of the writers for ‘Hush,’ a 260 Episode Telenovela. In 2017, Fatimah worked as a Researcher & Production Coordinator on ‘Jemeji.’
She has written over 6,500 minutes of primetime television and, since 2022, has developed, researched, and story-edited over 10,000 minutes of television and web content, including Riona, Enakhe, Tinsel, Battleground, and Flat 3B.
Also an award-winning director at the 2021 Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival, where she won the title of “Best Mobile Phone Film” (Why Am I Angry?), she recently participated in the Guinness World Record for the largest attendance at a single-location film screening for her directorial debut, “Black Market.”
