Nollywood has a great selection of movies and series coming out this October to keep viewers glued to their TV screens. It explores all genres, from comedy to action to romance and even thrillers. These are some of the movies and series you should look out for this October.
- Afobaje (October 10th)

When a royal heir becomes the prime suspect in a mysterious force claiming the lives of the heirs to the throne of Ekinrinade, he must set out on a mission to uncover the truth and confront a supernatural entity. It stars Habeeb Alagbe, Aina Gold, Justina Taiwo Onaolapo, Temitope Aremu, and Jimi Rowland.
- Onu Ahia Nwanyi (October 10th)

When a young lady who enters a traditional bride contest to escape her abusive family situation falls in love with the man she is competing to marry. As hidden ambitions surface, the contest threatens to change the future of several powerful families. The cast features Chioma Okafor, Deza The Great, Tony Mezie, Paschaline Alex, and Chinyere Wilfred.

When a young bride disappears on the morning of her wedding to a powerful northern Nigerian businessman, it sparks a scandal and a search for answers as the businessman’s eldest son uncovers deception, hidden motives, and long-buried secrets.
- First Lady (October 18th)
This is a political drama that follows the life of the First Lady of Lagos State, whose deep-rooted desire to have a child leads to a pregnancy that threatens her marriage, public image, and political standing. It was directed by Yinka Akanbi and stars Fehintola Olulana, Ngozi Nwosu, Desmond Elliot, Jaiye Kuti, and Ibrahim Suleiman.
- Pushing 30 (October 18th)
A 30-year-old teacher-founder who lives a fulfilled life finds his life taking a different turn when, at his birthday brunch, old rivalries, career insecurities, and romantic baggage bring chaos into his well-curated life. Directed by Orobosa Ikponmwen, this film stars Uzor Daniel, Sharon Rotimi, Kanyin Eros, Darasimi Ogbetah, Kanaga Emmanuel Eme, Floyd Igbo, and Deji Osikoya.
- A Land Apart (October 23rd)
Set in an alternate version of Nigeria, this film follows the story of the illegitimate daughter of the country’s richest agripreneur who inherits her father’s empire. When her inheritance gives her control of a potentially life-saving crop formula, she is forced to decide which global power should have access to it. Directed by Bem Pever, it stars Richard Mofe-Damijo, Daniel Etim Effiong, and Princess Mufeedah.
- No Fury (October 23rd)

Directed by Akay Mason, this film follows a seemingly happy couple whose serene life begins to unravel when a hidden betrayal comes to light. In a bid for revenge, the wife causes chaos that threatens to tear even her life apart. This film stars Jim Iyke, Tina Mba, Nosa Rex, Jide Awobona, Nse-Ikpe Etim, and Prisca Okeke.
- Tele x Zikora (October 23rd)
Two young adults with different personalities and backgrounds meet in a metropolitan university and find their lives becoming increasingly intertwined. It was directed by Adenike Adebayo-Esho and features Mike Afolarin and Genovevah Umeh, amongst others.
- Phoenix Fury (October 30th)
Directed by Ifeoma Chukwuogo, this follows the story of two women who find themselves connected by a shared desire for revenge and a man who they both know. The film stars Uzoamaka Power, Ama K. Abebrese, Tina Mba, Onyinye Odokoro, Ijeoma Grace Agu, Adjetey Anang, and Richard Mofe-Damijo.
- Wire Transfer (October 30th)
A group of up-and-coming criminals planning a high-stakes operation find themselves facing unexpected challenges. The cast members are Teddy A, Mike Afolarin, Hanks Anuku, Gideon Okeke, Rita Edochie, and Deyemi Okanlawon.
