Ekiti deputy governor, Funmilayo Olayinka dies of cancer at 52

There are reports that the Ekiti state deputy governor, Funmilayo Olayinka has died in a Lagos medical facility.

Olayinka who ran for office alongside Gov. Kayode Fayemi on the platform of the ACN resigned from Eco Bank Plc to join politics, before Eco Bank, she was head of External Affairs, UBA Plc.

The 52-year-old deputy governor reportedly died of cancer. She is survived by a husband and three children.

May her beautiful soul rest in peace and may God comfort her family and all who knew her.
