Untapped aired its first YouTube episode with Nigerian rapper Falz and the Bahd Guys (CEO of B.A.H.D Guys Entertainment, Aboki Sidney Toyosi Sule and Talent Manager Femisoro Ajayi).
Speaking with the host, Gbemi O-O, the three faces of B.A.H.D Guys Entertainment recount their experiences in getting to where they are now, including a ghastly accident in 2013 that brought them all face-to-face with death.
According to the three men, a life-changing call was from a guy who requested their performance in Abuja. It was to be their biggest gig at the time.
“So you were in Lagos by the time. Did you go by flight?” Gbemi asked.
They confirmed that they took the trip by flight after they’d heard that the journey and the performance were worth a million naira, the highest they’d ever been paid for any event.
They revealed that they had multiple shows that week in 2013 and were also booked to perform in Benin after the Abuja wedding event.
The trio were all smiles as they shared this fond memory, an eye-opener for the B.A.H.D Guys Entertainment.
There was only one flight a day between Abuja and Benin back in 2013, and the three men had an interview with Rhythm; they were stuck with options after their time in Abuja and decided to take a four-hour road trip to Benin.
“So we were going, with just the three of us on the trip plus the driver taking us to Benin. We were asleep, and we don’t know what happened, but we just heard a loud bang,” Falz explained.
“It’s funny now, but this is probably the wildest thing I have ever seen on waking up,”
“We see these turban-tying AK47s fielding dangerous-looking men in the middle of the expressway, so that bang we heard, they had shot at the car, and immediately we saw them, there was a second shot. These guys shit directly at our vehicle again.”
The men share the horrors they experienced, which nearly cost them their lives on the way to Benin. The rest of the clip can be watched here.
