If you are, you can catch Tonto Dikeh at the 2017 edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference.
People might find this comical, but let’s be real. Tonto Dikeh is, by many measures, a Nollywood heavyweight. She’s been around for a long time and, all infamy aside, she’s seen more than the average star and can likely provide lots of meaningful contributions.
She’s worked with all kinds of people, plus seen so many sides to the industry that, now that we think about it, we wonder why no one ever thought of it before. Of course, given recent developments with her personal life, it’s entirely possible that this will devolve into/be overshadowed by talk that isn’t concerned with her professional experiences. But we hope not.
By the way, there’s also the issue of conference overload. It feels like everyday in Lagos there’s one conference, panel or roundtable or the other. But, again, just by the way.
So yeah, we’ll be keeping an eye out for this. Go Tonto, and all that.
