It looks like Amaechi has forgotten his own advice against attacks on Jonathan

Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has asked former President Goodluck Jonathan to account for $65 billion ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo in the excess crude account.

What Amaechi said:

The minister said the funds were wasted by Jonathan’s administration.

He said such money would have helped connect Nigeria through rail system.

“When Obasanjo was leaving, he left about 65 billion dollars in the excess crude account, but this money was frittered away and we wonder where the money is,” he said.

“As at then, the price of crude oil during the President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration hovered around 140 dollars with this, they did not leave anything for the incoming government.

“With that kind of money, we should be thinking of connecting Nigeria through rail system. The rail between Ibadan to Kano would have been completed.

“Also the rail gauge between Port Harcourt to Maiduguri and Lagos to Calabar, but all the excess crude money was frittered away, we need to ask questions.”

Confused Amaechi:

This attack comes a week after the minister urged the present administration to fulfil its campaign promises, instead of blaming Jonathan’s government.

The latest attack by Amaechi has shown that the minister is either confused or the present government cannot just stop this blame game.

It is surprising how he has quickly forgotten his own advice to stop the attack on previous administrations.
