Forgive the cliche, but eLDee the Don can only be defined as A-list. From starry-eyed days as the kingpin and member of Trybesmen to this moment, his immense talents as an singer, rapper and producer has been invariable.

eLDee is our first YNaija Twitter personality. We caught up with him and asked how his experience of the revolutionary social network has been thus far.

How did you get on Twitter?
A good friend of mine introduced me to Twitter a few years back. I joined Twitter soon after the Ashton Kutcher drama about having 1million followers. I thought if there are millions of people on it and it’s a social networking platform, I must check it out.

Who would you say is your favourite tweep?
My fans. They keep me motivated. There are also a few really interesting people I follow that have me checking out their timelines every so often.

Is there any particular tweet you’ll never forget? Tell us about it.
None really.

Have you had any embarrassing/memorable experience on Twitter? If yes, what happened?
I have had a bunch of moments on Twitter. One time I decided to give out free mobile airtime credits on Twitter and my computer froze up from people trying to hit up my page to claim the free credit.

What are the downsides of being on Twitter?
Privacy invasion. Everybody knows “what, where, how and when” about you.

What are the upsides?
You get to reach out to thousands or even millions of people at the same time. Your fans are able to have a direct connection to you. It’s really good for networking and goring one’s business.

Do you follow back readily? Why?
I try to follow back as many people as I can. It’s difficult keeping up with everybody and every tweet though, so I can be a little choosy sometimes.

What would possibly make you close your Twitter account?
I cant imagine that right now.
