#BETAwards: Beyonce leads the pack with four awards (Full Winners List)

The 2016 BET Awards were concluded in the early hours of Monday at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The annual award ceremony celebrates achievement in black entertainment and honours personalities in music, sports, television, and the movies.

The nominees were announced on Friday, May 20, 2016, with Drake leading the pack with 9 nominations, while Beyoncé and Rihanna both followed with 6.

On the night, Beyonce was the star of the show as she not only gave a standing ovation-eliciting performance of Freedom featuring Kendrick Lamar but also took home 4 major awards – the highest of the night.

For the second consecutive year, Black-ish stars Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross hosted the TV event, where they introduced an epic lineup of performers, including Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Future and an all-star tribute to the late Prince by Stevie Wonder, Bilal, Erykah Badu and The Roots and many more performances.
