When you catch his eye, see how long you can look at him before he looks away. If you have eye contact for an extended period of time, there are sparks! Just be careful when using this technique.
If you’re confused about whether your crush returns your feelings, there are ways to test his interest. You don’t need to wait for him to ask you out. You can move the process along by doing a few simple things. These small ways to test his interest will hint that you like him, and give you an idea of how he feels.
1. TOUCH TEST
One of the ways to test his interest consists of touching him and observing his reaction. If you’re sitting side by side, shift your position so that your knee or arm touches his. If he adjusts himself so that he’s no longer touching you, he might not be interested. If he doesn’t do anything about your proximity or moves even closer, that’s a good sign. People like their personal space, so if you’re invading his and he doesn’t mind, be relieved.
2. DON’T MISS OPPORTUNITIES
Everyone responds to different comments in different ways. If you bring up something sexual, and he shies away from the subject, it means that he doesn’t want to be raunchy with you. If you text him that you miss him and he ignores the comment, he probably doesn’t feel the same. If you give a guy the opportunity to compliment you and he takes it, things are going well. Men can be shy, but if you push him enough and he doesn’t flirt, you should search for a new crush.
3. THE EYES HAVE IT
When you catch his eye, see how long you can look at him before he looks away. If you have eye contact for an extended period of time, there are sparks! Just be careful when using this technique. You don’t want to creep him out by staring at him for too long and never looking away. He might be scared instead of seduced.
4. MENTION GREAT GIRLS
Bring up other girls in order to see how he reacts. If he doesn’t seem interested in anyone you discuss, it might be because he wants you. Be careful about brining up other girls. If he tells you that he likes someone else, you don’t want to be upset. Of course, it’s better that you know as soon as possible.
5. POTENTIAL PLANS
You need a bit of confidence for this one. Casually suggest that you two should go to the movies or get dinner. If he brings up the idea later on in the day or week, it’s because he wants the date to actually occur. If he didn’t want to hang out with you, he wouldn’t remind you of your potential plans. He could easily let the idea slide, if he didn’t want anything to do with you.
6. PAST RELATIONSHIPS
If you’re looking to date a guy, you’re going to have to tell him about your past relationships eventually. As long as you’re already friends with your crush, it’s not strange to mention the boys you used to date. If he acts protective over you or says that you should’ve been treated better, it’s because he cares about you. If he seems jealous, that’s another indicator of his feelings. The most important thing is that you always pay attention to his reaction when you speak.
7. BE BRAVE AND ASK
Ask him how he feels about you or if he’s currently looking for a relationship. There’s no reason for him to lie, so you can expect an honest reply. Everyone behaves differently, so it’s impossible to tell exactly what a man is thinking by studying his actions. If you want to know where he stands with you, ask him. It’s the only way to know that you’re not misreading the situation.—
