The Nigeria Police Force early Wednesday morning sealed off the Sharks Stadium, venue of the PDP National Convention in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

This was confirmed by the Force Public Relations Officer, Donald Awunah when he appeared as a guest on Channels Television‘s Sunrise Daily.

Awunah said the venue was sealed off due to tension surrounding the convention and the conflicting court rulings, stating that the action was taken in the interest of protecting citizens.
