When it rains, it pours. It sure has this week and it’s only the middle of the week. Uncle Reuben’s remarks about TBoss’ ‘mangoes’ are still turning Nigerian Twitter’s head upside down and Sean Spicer just had to put his foot in his mouth again about the holocaust.
Why?
Wait a minute. Abati was the presidential spokesperson and Sean Spicer is Trump’s administration’s press secretary. Are we seeing a running thread about buffonery with press secretaries in general, ’cause to be honest Femi Adesina and his minions are just as bad.
Oh, well. Let’s get to the bottom of this. In an attempt to defend the White House’s decision to invade Syria (and we understand that a certain daddy’s girl had a lot to do with it), Sean Spicer said and I quote:
“We didn’t use chemical weapons in World War II. You know, you had someone as despicable as Hitler who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons” Spicer said. When asked to clarify his comments he added: “I think when you come to sarin gas, he was not using the gas on his own people the same way that Assad is doing.”
Sean Spicer raises eyebrows with Hitler/Assad comparison: Hitler "didn't even sink to using chemical weapons." https://t.co/GpeWraGX2T pic.twitter.com/rzBNr9KWJ6

Is this where we say wow! Nah, wawu is more apt.
He did not stop there, he went on to refer the Nazi German gas chambers as holocaust centres.
And this is where we take a detour into history.
“Under the rule of Adolf Hitler, German authorities, beginning in 1939, gassed millions of people to death. The first victims were German citizens deemed handicapped and thus “unfit for life.” After Germans with local assistance had shot about a million Jews in Eastern Europe, gassing was added as a second technique of mass murder. Jews were killed by carbon monoxide at Chelmno, Belzec, Sobibor and Treblinka, and by hydrogen cyanide at Auschwitz,” the Guardian writes.
But according to Spicer, this pales into insignificance because they were not chemical weapons, so Hitler was not as bad as Assad?
Somebody help me out here, please.
This is what Americans think of the messy affair:
Holocaust centres? You make me sick!

Sean Spicer apparently forgets that Hitler gassed and killed millions of Jews, including those of German ancestry.

Sean Spicer's comments make me physically ill. We've gone so far beyond any normal bounds of what public officials can get away with saying.
