Peter Okoye of P-Square, has responded to a call for his arrest by an APC youth group after he angrily made a comment on the plans by the Nigerian government to discourage production of Nigerian movies and music abroad.
Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed had on Saturday said the government is working towards putting an end to the trend.
While responding, Peter said Nigerian artistes have been the ones covering the “shame” politicians “bring upon the country”.
The APC youth national secretary, Collins Edwin, asked Peter and others who reacted, to leave the industry if they cannot comply with the rules; also calling on the Federal Government to arrest Peter for “disrespecting the government”.
Replying the youth group, Peter wrote on Twitter, “Abeg make him Oder Egusi, pounded yam and goat meat join for the arrest??? I knw those youth will start from 70 and above?? Onye ala? #Ndiala.”
