Who should be the next Nigerian artiste on #NS10v10? | 5 Things that Should Matter Today

Wizkid

Wizkid emerged as winner in No Signal’s battle of hits against Vybez Cartel on Sunday, and Nigerians have been painting social media green. In this uncertain times, No Signal has become the latest viral obsession out of the UK, a radio show that has galvanized the black diaspora through music. Nigeria’s premiere in the contest had Burna Boy going against Popcaan last week – ten hits from their respective discographies played and interspersed with radio commentary and banter.

Although Wizkid was massively predicted to win, given his catalogue of songs and wild army of fans, Vybez Cartel had the rousing support of Jamaica, his native country. With the contest over since hours ago, and No Signal having no Nigerian artiste in their lineup for now, we wonder we should be next representative. Who can step it up after Wizkid?

There are a handful of artistes to choose from. Besides, no female artiste has had a shot. Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage are powerhouses with hits to their names, and massive international appeal. There’s also Falz, who can piggyback on his #BopDaddyChallenge. Davido has a whole factory of hits, from Dami Duro to Fall. It should be interesting. Who do you think should be Nigeria’s representative?
