Nigerian travel enthusiast and blogger Alma Asinobi has taken to social media to announce her attempt to break the Guinness World Record (GWR) for the Fastest Time to Visit All Seven Continents.
The travel influencer admitted that her announcement was the scariest thing she has ever written or attempted but expressed her excitement about accomplishing this feat.
Alma stated that on 15 March, she would begin her GWR world tour from Antarctica to Australia, ensuring she touched all seven continents in under 70 hours using her Nigerian passport. She hopes to beat the current record of 73 hours, set by Indians Sujoy Mitra and Dr Ali Irani.
Alma Asinobi has taken it upon herself to travel around the world with a Nigerian passport, shedding light on the second-class treatment Nigerians face solely because of their passport.
Her goal is to demonstrate to the world, particularly Nigerians, that anything is possible and to inspire everyone to explore the world regardless of limitations. Her hashtags to join the conversation are #AlmaChasingContinents and #7in70.
On March 15th, I’ll be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the “Fastest Time to Visit All Seven Continents” – one of 2 records this month.

This is the scariest tweet I’ve ever written, but it makes sense because it’s about the scariest thing I’ve ever had to do… pic.twitter.com/g3h5h3cAj6
