Multiple award winning Chocolate City rapper, MI, has revealed that he believes the Jos town crisis is bey0nd what it is perceived to be. Answering questions on what he is currently doing to help improve peace in the troubled region, the rapper regretted to announce that he is currently working on getting people out of the town rather than promoting peace in there.
“The situation there is complex,” he said. “I have been to Jos a lot recently and believe what is happening there is not fun. When you see people who can’t afford to eat a meal daily carry sophisticated weapons then you must admit that there is more to it than you know. what we are doing presently is trying to build a studio here in Lagos where we can bring other creative people out of the town to,” he said.
MI, real name Jude Abaga, is an acclaimed lyricist from Jos where his mother lived until recently.
