Kidnappers release Kaduna lawmaker

The Kaduna Police Command spokesman yesterday revealed that a member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Ismail, who was abducted from his residence on Tuesday, has been released.

The Kaduna State Police Command spokesman, ASP Aliyu Usman, confirmed this in an interview with the NAN.

Usman said the lawmaker who represents Tudun Wada constituency, was released on Wednesday evening but however did not say if a ransom was paid or the kidnappers were arrested.

Ibrahim was abducted at his Abakpa residence in Kaduna on Tuesday.

The police spokesperson urged citizens to always be vigilant and inform the police of any suspicious movements in their domains.
