An Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 787 flight on Wednesday touched down at 11:50am Nigerian Time at the Kaduna International Airport.
The flight which became the first international airline to use the airport following the closure of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja left Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at 7:10 (East African Time).
On hand to receive the passengers was Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika and airport personnel.
On Wednesday the Federal Government closed the Abuja Airport for six weeks so as to enable it fix its faulty runway.
The Kaduna Airport has been directed to be used as alternative for both domestic and international airlines.
