Reports coming in have confirmed the death of veteran Nollywood actor Ifeanyi Ikenga Gbulie, who has been bedridden for several months before coming down with a stroke on Thursday in Enugu. Confirming the news, a member of the Directors Guild of Nigeria DGN, China Okoroji, said that late actor would be greatly missed.
“This is too heavy for me; I love this man with a passion, his humility is out of this world. I will miss him so much.” Okoroji said. Popularly called Elder Danda, the actor is known for playing elderly, wizened roles in movies like End of Dreams and Under Fire, and his acting career started in the ‘70s and ‘80s and working at NTA Channel 8, Enugu.
Ifeanyi Ikenga Gbulie joins a number of actors who have died this year, from Usual Akrah (Emotional Crack, Missing Angel 2), Chike Osuji (The Governor) to Moses Olaiya aka Baba Sala (Agba Man, Ana Gomina).
