All round news: Nigeria’s first 24 hours news radio station berths

 A new radio station Nigeria Info 99.3 has hit the airwaves. A sister station to Cool FM and Wazobia FM, the new frequency is the first ever 24hr News/talk show and is targeted at replicating the Cable News Network(CNN) in Nigeria. This is as a result of the market research conducted by management which revealed that only 27% of the sampled populace actually likes music while a majority 40% would prefer talk shows.

Speaking at a recent media parley with newsmen,the Managing Director, Mr Amin Mousalli revealed that he station will be on a 24hour non-stop programming and would air two live premiership matches every Saturday.

“Our target audience is eople of 25 yrs and above and anyone who is interested in hard core news,” he said.

Seasoned broadcasters Matse Uwatse, George Omagbemi, and Femi Obong Daniels are among pioneer staff.
