Anthony Joshua knocks out Klitschko to win World heavyweight title

British boxer, Anthony Joshua on Saturday night made it 19 wins in 19 matches with an enthralling knockout win over Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley Stadium.

His victory saw him add the WBA world heavyweight title to his IBF crown.

Joshua dropped the unified world champion in the fifth round, before being knocked down for the first time in his 19-fight career in the sixth.

The Briton later delivered heavy punches on Klitschko in the 11th round to win the bout.

He landed a brutal uppercut which threw the former champion off balance.

The Ukrainian stood, was dropped by a left hook again moments later, then stood again, only for referee David Fields to save him when pinned against the ropes.

At the time of the stoppage, Joshua was up 96-93 and 95-93 on two cards, with Klitschko leading 95-93 on the other.
