Arms Deal: Badeh to know fate in October

The trial of former Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh has been adjourned to Monday, October 10, 2016. The trial was adjourned by Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court sitting in Maitama, Abuja.

Badeh is being prosecuted by the EFCC alongside Iyalikam Nigeria Limited for allegedly abusing his office by using the dollar equivalent of the sum of N1.4billion removed from the accounts of the Nigerian Air Force to purchase properties in choice areas of Abuja between January and December, 2013 – an offence which contravenes Section 15 (2) (d) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2011 (as amended) and punishable under Section 15(3) of the same Act.

The trial will is expected to run concurrently for three days till Wednesday, October 12, 2016.
