Army confirms that Chibok girl was found

The Nigerian Army has confirmed the news tweeted by #BringBackOurGirls activists that one out of the 219 Girls of Government Secondary School, Chibok, who were abducted by Boko Haram in 2014, has been rescued.

This came via a brief statement this afternoon from the Acting Director Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman.

It was titled ‘One of Chibo Girls Rescued by Troops’.

Usman gave a different name however from the activists, said the girl is Falmata Mbalala was rescued by troops at Baale, Borno State.
