Earlier today, we carried a report about the capture of Habeeb Bama, one of the masterminds of the UN building bomb blast as well as some other major Boko Haram blasts. Mr Bama, who was captured in Yobe during a shootout between men of the JTF and Boko Haram, reportedly died as a result of injuries he sustained during the shootout.
A report by Channels Television quoted a source who said that the bomber “could not make it having lost so much blood in his bid to engage the joint task force in a shootout.”
The late Habeeb Bama, an ex- army Private who was declared wanted by State Security Service (SSS) in February for his alleged role with Boko Haram, especially as regards the Madalla Church bombing.
