Former Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh and spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh, were seat-mates on Monday, when they both appeared in a Federal High Court, sitting in Abuja.

Metuh and Badeh are being tried by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission for their roles in the $2.1bn arms deal scandal.

While Metuh is being tried for fraud and money laundering, Badeh is on trial for diversion of funds meant for the procurement of equipment for the Nigerian Air Force.

The pair were also seen sharing jokes and laughing heartily as they left the courtroom.
