Tory Lanez’s live sessions on Instagram have become an internet sensation during this global coronavirus lockdown, a schlocky piece of entertainment that people can’t seem  to get enough of. Actor IK Ogbonna has routinely posted Nigerian flags during Lane’z Instalive and nothing more. In fact, a lot of flags that it borders on attention-seeking.

For the first time Lanez called the actor about the flag posting, referring to Nigeria as a ”city” and while it seems it’s mission accomplished for Ogbonna, it’s showing how many African Americans and non-Africans can’t point Africa on the map and still think it’s one monolithic region. Entrepreneur Diddy did the same thing to Tiwa Savage where he kept saying Africa instead of Nigeria. Even in pandemic, we are reminded that a lot of people don’t know geography.

Patience Jonathan’s Abuja hotel to become coronavirus isolation center 

Former First Lady of Nigeria, Patience Jonathan has struck a deal to release her 200-bed hotel as a Coronavirus Isolation and treatment centre. The Abuja hotel, which is believed to be worth about N2 billion, is under interim forfeiture secured by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at the court on April 30, 2018.

Six more Covid-19 patients discharged in Lagos

Six more COVID19 patients have been discharged from the Lagos state Infectious Disease Hospital, Lagos. The state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced this yesterday evening, bringing the total number of patients to have been discharged to 61.

NCDC reveals how many tests it has conducted in Nigeria

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has revealed the number of Coronavirus tests they’ve conducted so far across different states in the country. The health agency in its tweet, said they’ve conducted 5000 tests out of which 323 cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed.
