A man has got to use his brain sometime. Don’t take your child along to a hotel while meeting with prostitutes.

A man in Tuscaloosa was charged with child neglect after taking along his nine month old baby during a meeting with a prostitute.

Police in Tuscaloosa County, said the 29-year-old took the baby with him to meet the woman in a motel, because he had no one to care for the baby.

Once inside the motel room, another man came in and a fight broke out. Shots were fired, while the baby was in the room, and a bullet grazed the head of the father.

“The child was in bed. He took the child and tried to leave, when he was shot,” said Capt. Loyd Baker of the Tuscaloosa Police.

Hospital workers contacted police after the man sought treatment. The child was placed under protective custody.
