According to France’s Interior Minister Gerrard Collomb, the Hurricane has left nine dead, rendered 112 injured, 60 percent home badly damaged, while seven are still missing.

The Minister disclosed the extent of damage in order to dismiss the conflicting figures about the loss of life caused by the storm circulating around the streets of France.

A state insurance group disclosed the estimated cost of damage melted on the island by the Hurricane to be “much higher” than 200 million euros ($240 million).

Meanwhile, rescue operations has been activated as emergency rations and rescue teams were flown under water to the island to help the victims.
