From the Bloggers: A scoop from the Gistmaster, Lady Gaga in Ankara (!), FAB advice on relationships…

Wilfred Okiche

So what was trending on the blogosphere during the week? We have the lo’ down.

Linda Diokpa’s blog took to spreading the message of hope in these trying times, quoting generously from Jeremiah 29:11. In the same breath perhaps, D’Banj and his soulmate Don Jazzy announced a token of 500,000 as reward for an essay competition to determine the most intelligent Nigerian student. For more details, visit Everyone’s Blog Posts.

The sudden demise of Nigerian player Bobsam Elejiko was the major feature on Surprise blog. They compiled a list of Nigerian players who had slumped and died on duty. Uwakwe Martin’s blog picked up on glad tidings and displayed a picture of comic actor Chinedu Ikezie (Aki) and his fiancée. Engagements lead to weddings and weddings lead to babies. And so it is for former Miss World Aishwarya Rai and her husband Abhishek Bachchan, who welcomed a baby girl into the world. Celeb region had all the gist.

There’s a reason this blog’s so named, we guess, so the Gistmaster had the scoop on the “real reason” D’banj was absent at the recently held Channel O Music Awards. Gistexpress was more preoccupied with the Ashton Kutcher- Demi Moore divorce saga.

Something fresh: Morsi had a picture of Lady Gaga in (wait-for-this) Ankara! The lady was only previewing a sample from Burberry’s spring/summer 2012 line.

Our cool friends at the FAB magazine blog offered relationship advice and gave a list of things not to do on a first date.

And what did the queen of blogging have to say? Her Royal Gistness Linda Ikeji shared a post on how America seems to have had enough of the Kardashian clan. Finally, we say!
