A 23-year-old girl, Qian ‘Necole’ Liu, was found dead on the morning of April 15, 2011, in her basement apartment in Toronto, Canada covered in blood and semen.
On the night of the murder, Liu was chatting with her boyfriend Xian Meng who was in China using a Skype webcam and an instant messaging service.
Meng, who watched in horror as his girlfriend was raped and murdered said the killer allegedly knocked on the door and tried to hug the deceased when she went to answer the door.
The killer sensing resistance from her as she was trying to force him out, pushed the door and pushed her towards the bed.
Meng said he then heard what sounded like two muffled bangs and that a man ‘naked from the waist down’ shut off the lights, locked the door and turned off the webcam.
A resident in the building where Liu lived, Brian Dickson has been arrested and charged with the rape and murder of the deceased girl with prosecutors saying that Dickson had the habit of searching in chat rooms for Asian women.
