The street lights in Lagos might be defective and PHCN might have put a damping on the festive period but corporate companies like Zenith Bank and the Lagos State government are bringing a touch of brightness with holiday light displays.
It’s that time again, when the seasonal mood in Lagos is set by Christmas lights around town. And even after Christmas has passed, Lagos will remain lit up for a few days longer, so catch them when you can.
In London, the mood is the same recession or not, High street stores have gone all out to impress shoppers with show stopping lights on Oxford Street.
The Oxford Street Christmas lights are among the most famous in the world; this year’s occasion was an official event as lights were switched on by UK girl group, The Saturdays on 1 November, 2011.
